Dreamscapes

My dreams often influence my artwork.  Last night I had a few nightmares, not that I remember any of them, but it had me thinking that I should share with you, my viewers these thoughts.

The latest series of drawings was inspired by a dream that I had a few weeks ago.  It was a tangible experience of the space that lies between people.

The water-drawings I’ve done to now have not been figural, so that feeling of interpersonal dynamics was lost on most of my audience.  After the dream I had, which I no longer remember in detail, I decided that adding figural elements to the water drawings would make them easier to understand for the average viewer.
What I've been up to!
Even in these first ones, you can see tension, but the tension isn’t directed enough to give meaning to the viewer.  I needed to find a way to be more daring and let the viewer know a little bit more clearly what these metaphorical observations really represent.
In the coming days, I’ll be posting more of my newer figural works as well as some of my older work.
